I thoroughly enjoyed reading Fionas Blog. We were in Sri Lanka last month and had a fantastic and memorable trip. Yes there are troubles in the North of the country which everyone hopes gets resolved sooner rather than later BUT this is a very small part of the country. The Sri Lankan people rely heavily on the tourism industry and if tourists dont visit it will make the whole situation so much worse for the whole country. We felt safe at all times, far away from any trouble and the people were just so friendly and welcoming. I completely agree with Fiona that the food if fantastic!
