Being home to over 350 bird species, bird watching in Cuba is very rewarding. Native to Cuba is the Bee Hummingbird, the smallest bird in the world. It flaps its wings so fast that they are invisible to the human eye. The hummingbird can be found in the Western provinces of The Vinales Valley. Also look out for the colourful Cuban green woodpecker, parrots, fly catchers, king fishers, flamingos and hawks. Or the national bird of Cuba, the Cuban trogon, with its red, white and blue feathers that corresponds with the Cuban flag.
