Osa Peninsula

ABOUT OSA PENINSULA

“The Osa Peninsula is the region where visitors are truly immersed within the jungle”

The Osa Peninsula, located on the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, is a world premier rainforest destination dubbed one of the most biologically intense places on earth by the National Geographic Society.

One of the truly wild places in Costa Rica, the Osa Peninsula juts into the Pacific Coast at the southern tip of the country. Much of the peninsula is protected within the Parque Nacional Corcovado – a beautiful place combining tropical wilderness and beaches. As it is difficult to get to, this makes it all the more special and a unique place to visit.

Parque Nacional Corcovado was established in 1970 and is one, it is difficult to get to but it will captivate you with its isolation, beauty and abundance of wildlife. The park includes over 133,380 acres if land and 4,940 acres of marine habitat. Apart from tours around the national park activities in this area include: horseback riding, surfing, fishing, bird watching, snorkelling and kayaking.

Also included in the Osa Peninsula, but located on the opposite side, is the Golfito Coast area where we have some special lodges for clients to stay with.
