Clothing & Expedition Gear Information
Appropriate heavy weather clothing and expedition gear is required for your journey. A dedicated Crystal website has been specifically designed for this voyage regarding Clothing & Expedition Gear. There are recommended cold weather clothing and expedition gear for the Northwest Passage voyage and customers may order items before July 25 2017 to be shipped directly to Crystal Serenity. Guests planning to participate in Zodiac landings will require a pair of calf-high waterproof boots, expedition rental boots with free delivery to the ship are also offered. Pack clothes that you can layer, such as loose, breathable fabrics in cotton or wool. Windproof, waterproof clothing are also key, as weather can change rapidly. In colder destinations, it is important not to overdress to the point of perspiration as wet skin can lead to dangerous loss of body heat. If you wear several light- to medium-weight layers under your parka, you can better adjust your body temperature.
