Sacred Valley

ABOUT SACRED VALLEY

“A truly beautiful area”

The beautiful scenery of the Sacred Valley, also known as the Urubamba Valley can be visited from Cusco or en route to or from Machu Picchu. A patchwork of small towns, Inca ruins, rivers and corn fields spread beneath the mountains, visitors are offered the opportunity to explore traditional Quechua communities and the famous colourful Pisaq market. Ollantaytambo, Moray and Maras are other highlights in this area.

Spending a night or two in this region is highly recommended. The Sacred Valley is at a lower altitude to Cusco and therefore an ideal place to acclimatise before visiting the highlight that is.. Machu Picchu. We can plan your itinerary to include a stay in this very special area, when most people just visit as a day trip.
