Flights from the UK
There are no direct flights from the UK to Ecuador, flights go via the USA or Madrid.
Iberia Airlines
Flights from London Heathrow via Madrid. The return flight operates from Quito via Guayaquil to Madrid, so you do not need to return to the high altitude in Quito.
American Airlines
Daily flights from London Heathrow via Miami to Quito. Return flights from Guayaquil and Quito. There are now some flights from Manchester to Guayaquil via Miami.
Continental Airlines
Daily flights from London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow via Newark or Houston to Quito or Guayaquil in Ecuador.
KLM Airlines
Flights via Amsterdam and from regional UK airports. However, the flights currently touch down in the Dutch Antillies aswell, which adds to the journey length.
Transportation within Ecuador
There are various methods of transportation available within Ecuador and we can use a combination of methods to ensure you make the most of your visit.
Domestic flights
Ecuador has a superb network of domestic flights throughout the country. You will need to take a return flight from the mainland to Galapagos, these flights operate from Quito, then to Guayaquil to Galapagos.
Transfers
We can arrange for you to have land transfers, and therefore enjoy the countryside and amazing views. Transfers can either be privately guided or non-privately group guided.
Chiva Express
A Chiva is a typical, old fashioned Latin American bus, with open sides, so that passengers can hop on and off easily, and plenty of room on the roof for bananas and the odd chicken. In Quito, these buses have taken on a new lease of life as party vehicles with adapted, high-sided roofs. Our team members have adapted the Chiva idea to the historic train ride from Quito to Guayaquil.
