Stalking the tiger

With a network of about 80 National Parks and 441 Sanctuaries, there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the wildlife. From camouflaged boats, jeeps and elephant back you can watch the jungle go about its business. The thrill of coming upon a herd of wild elephants on their way to the water or a tiger crouched behind a rock selecting his evening meal from a herd of grazing deer is hard to beat. The majority of these parks are in Northern and central India.

White-water rafting

big_india

An exhilarating adventure sport that requires navigating frothy, fast flowing stretches of river that tumbles over rocks and boulders through mountains and gorges. The rivers that flow through the Himalayas are well suited to this activity and the level of experience you have will depend on where you raft. We organise trips on the Ganga near Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas, where the rapids do not have a very dangerous vertical gradient.

Bird watching

India is a bird watching paradise and all tours are planned to ensure that you have an excellent chance to see as many natural birds as possible.

Trekking

With a wealth of national parks, jungles and natural beauty, trekking can offer a spectacular mix of picturesque villages, wildlife, flora and fauna. Depending on which region you choose to trek, India is so vast you have a wide choice of different environments.

Golf

The many British who came to India during the days of the Raj bought with them their pastime of golf. In the dusty plains of central India, amidst the snowy peaks of the Himalayas and in the remote outposts of the Raj, tiny golf courses were laid out. Today the courses in the country are on par with the best worldwide and provide a unique environment in which to play.
