British Airways is to launch a new route from London Gatwick to Costa Rica from April 27th, 2016.
Clients will no longer have extended journeys because they had to fly via a European or US city. This new direct flight only takes 10 hours 40 mins to get there & 10 hours 15 mins to come back.. Happy days.
BA will initially fly twice per week (on Wednesdays & Saturdays) to San Jose’s Juan Santamaria International airport (SJO). BA then plans to add a third weekly flight on a Thursday for winter 2016/17.
During summer 2016, twice weekly flights will operate on Wednesday departing 11.55 arriving SJO at 1545 & on Saturday departing from Gatwick at 11.55 and arriving at 14.50.
For the winter season the Tuesday & Saturday flights depart Gatwick at 10.15 arriving at 1535. On the additional Thursday flight it will depart at 11.25 arriving 16.45 – So great times.
All flights will be operated using a Boeing 777 aircraft with a capacity of 275 seats.
