Vakona Forest Lodge
Set in a forest of eucalyptus trees and agapanthus, Vakona Forest Lodge is about 9km uphill from the village of Andasibe. The individual bungalows are situated throughout the gardens and have big bathrooms and a terrace. Rooms are available as either twin or double. The main building, which houses the reception, bar and restaurant is a round glass building with a central fire place and comfortable sofas and chairs.
The Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the Perinet National Park and Mantadia. Our close relationship with our ground agents means we can usually get availability at prime hotels such as the Vakona.

One of the highlights of staying at Vakona is the small Lemur Sanctuary where former pet lemurs live in relative freedom. Excellent photo opportunities!
