La Sultana - Oualidia

La Sultana Oualidia, a remote and peaceful oasis that overlooks a lagoon on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Built in the style of a Moorish fort, the hotel has two pools, a dramatic spa and exquisite cuisine. Sheltered by cliffs and bordered by green pastureland and salt-water marshes, La Sultana Oualidia sits in a location of great ecological importance. Perfectly integrated into its environment, the hotel has beautiful views of grass-roofed cabanas, the turquoise swimming pool and the shimmering blue lagoon.

This is a marvellous destination for bird watching with a huge range of bird species including egrets, herons, and Ibis. Golf enthusiasts will find Royal Golf Club of El Jadida a superb 18-hole course. Take a boat trip around the shallow waters of the lagoon or simply laze by La Sultana’s infinity pool until dinner.

Accommodation

There are 11 suites all of which are individually designed with unique character, elegance and understated charm. Named after traditional Moorish and Middle Eastern boats, the bedrooms make the most of the views and the luminous light, each having a private terrace and Jacuzzi. Natural materials have been used throughout such as carved stone for the walls, oleander branches for the ceilings and marble for the floor. Rooms and Suites feature their own decor combining sophistication and elegance to perfection, antique furnishings, paintings and handicrafts.

Situated two and a half hours drive from Marrakech, the hotel commands a unique location sheltered by cliffs, bordered by green pastureland and salt-water marshes, La Sultana looks out over the lagoon.

There is a heated indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzis, steam baths, a relaxation area and Spa made out of carved stone. There are many treatments on offer that will satisfy the most demanding needs.  The spa is like an immense cathedral with a swimming pool at the centre and its columns reaching up to the ceiling. The hotel offers high quality cuisine with fresh local sea food products such as oysters, lobsters and spider crabs.
