This tour takes you on an exciting trip through Marrakech, before setting off to discover the beauty of the Sahara Desert & Atlas Mountains. You will be taken on a journey of the Kasbahs, the nomadic tribes and fortified villages. There is a lot of history to be absorbed here and your guide will ensure care and guidance throughout this experience. The 4x4 drives are exhilarating and will take you across the Sahara Desert and sand dunes experiencing an unforgettable sunset. Your trip will end back in Marrakech to discover this vibrant and colourful city.

Day 1: Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech Menara airport to be met by our representative who will give you the necessary information and assure your transfer to the hotel to meet your tour leader and the rest of the participants. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Tichka on bed & breakfast.

Day 2: Marrakech / Ouarzazate

This morning drive south across the plains of Marrakech and the High Atlas Mountains to enjoy one of the most beautiful sceneries in the country. Stop at 7000ft of altitude before you arrive in the pre-Saharan areas. This afternoon you will be exploring the amazingly designed Kasbahs in the region of Ouarzazate such as Ait Ben Haddou, Tifoultoute and Ouarzazate itself. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel Mercure Ouarzazate on bed & breakfast.

Day 3: Ouarzazate / Zagora

Cross the wild and barren mountains of the Anti-Atlas where some nomadic tribes live before you arrive in the great valley and oasis of DRAA. The largest natural palm plantation and oasis in Morocco. All along you will discover a huge variety of people, fortified villages and natural sceneries. Once in Zagora, you will drive further south to visit an old Koranic school and its antique library where some documents date back to the 12th century. Overnight and dinner at hotel Palais Asmaa Zagora on bed & breakfast.

Day 4: Zagora / Erfoud

Today you will start by enjoying another part of the DRAA valley before you cross a stony and sandy desert towards the Oasis of the ZIZ and the valley of Tafilalet. Once here, 4X4 vehicles will be waiting for you to drive you off road across the Sahara to the impressive sand dunes of Merzouga. Stay in the desert of Merzouga for the rest of the day and enjoy the fantastic sunset before you drive to Erfoud. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel Xaluca Erfoud on bed & breakfast.

Day 5: Erfoud / Ouarzazate

This the most beautiful drive along the road of the one thousand Kasbahs. Enjoy a short hike along the Gorges of Todgha, the beautiful colourful scenery along the valley of Dades and the El Kalaa, the capital of the roses in Morocco. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel Mercure Ouarzazate on bed & breakfast.

Day 6: Ouarzazate / Marrakech

Breakfast and drive back to Marrakech. Check in at your hotel by noon. In the afternoon, start your visit with the Medersa Ben Youssef, the Koubba which is what remains of the oldest mosque in Marrakech, the museum of Marrakech and the artisan quarters. You will visit the Souks and the Bazaars before you start exploring the main square Jemaa El Fna with its jugglers, singers, acrobats and snake charmers. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel Tichka on bed & breakfast.

Day 8: Marrakech

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
