Flights from the UK

As is the case for most "special & unique " countries there are no direct flights from the UK to Peru. Connections via the USA can be lengthy but ideal if you wanted to have a stop-over in an American city. The best connections, which also makes them the most popular, and therefore require early booking, are offered by Iberia Airlines & KLM.

Iberia Airlines

Daily flights from London Heathrow via Madrid to Lima. We have different fare levels in economy (for the same seats) and early booking is essential to secure the lowest fare. There is also a very good business class fare.

KLM

A daily service and a huge advantage is that they also fly from some regional airports as well as the main UK airports. From 2007 they will no longer go via the Dutch Antillies, making this a direct flight from Amsterdam to Lima .

American Airlines

Again a daily flight from London Heathrow via Miami but the return connection time is not good, which increases the total journey time. However the leg room offered is excellent.

Continental Airlines

Daily flights run from London Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham via Newark. However the return flight connections are not so good.

Transportation within Peru

There are various methods of transportation available within Peru and we can use a combination of these for the itinerary depending on your preferences.

Domestic flights

As Peru is a large country the most time efficient method of travelling between areas is with domestic flights. Our prices will include flights where stated as well as the domestic airport taxes which have to be paid at the local airport before each flight. Our ground agents will always deal with all this for you.

Private transfers

These are offered with or without a private guide. For example, you can travel from Lima to Paracas in a private car and have the choice to also have your own guide accompany you. The driver and guide would be at your disposal for the duration of the tour, whether it is two or three days.

Tourist bus service

This is an ideal option if you wish to keep transportation costs down and you would like to travel in a tourist bus. However there would only be a driver not a guide, who may not speak English.

Train service

You will enjoy a train journey in Peru at least once, with the journey from Cusco to Aguas Calientas for Machu Picchu (or vice versa if you trek the Inca Trail first). Other options would be between Puno and Cusco, or vice versa depending on your itinernary. The standard of the trains is very good and there are various classes to fit differing budgets.
