Flights from the UK

Most flights on the outbound are night flights, arriving the following day. On the return most are day flights arriving back in the UK on the day you departed Colombo.

Sri Lanka Airlines

Flights run from London Heathrow (Terminal Four). This is an excellent direct service that flies to Colombo nine times a week. Sri Lanka Airlines is partly owned by Emirates and all Sri Lankan Cabin staff are trained in Dubai. Sri Lanka airlines also go to the Middle and Far East, Australia and the Maldives via Colombo, making Sri Lanka a great place to stop for a few days.

Emirates, Gulf Air and Qatar Airlines

All three airlines fly via the Middle East and depart the UK from some regional airports.

Transportation within Sri Lanka

We can arrange transfers for you to anywhere in Sri Lanka, where we will take you to the hotel of your choice and leave you to your own devices. A transfer can be booked for your return back to the airport. If you require a car and driver for the odd days of your holiday this is also possible.

Car with English speaking driver

This is the most relaxing way to tour Sri Lanka as most drivers are very knowledgeable about their country and are most helpful with the history and sights of the areas you will be visiting. English-speaking guides are also available.

Car hire

Many tourists find driving in Sri Lanka very difficult and sometimes dangerous. If you do drive you have to take great care as many people walk on the edge and some in the middle of the road. Cattle, dogs and in some areas elephants can be a problem as they roam at will. To hire a car you have to be 25-65 and hold an international driving licence and have nerves of steel!

Three-wheelers

These are very similar to Tucs-Tucs and are for the more adventurous, quick through traffic and ideal for short journeys. You must fix a price before your journey, as they have no meters.
