Casa Andina Private Collection hotels are unique properties in exceptional Peruvian locations – Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Arequipa and two in the Lake Titicaca area. The Casa Andina Private Collection properties are some of our favourite hotels in Peru.
In Cusco the hotel is in a beautifully renovated 18th-century manor house. The hotel is only three blocks from Cusco’s Plaza de Armas and full of authentic colonial character. The hotel is distinguished by its three interior patios with wooden balconies. The principal patio, featuring a gurgling stone fountain, is one of Cusco’s emblematic colonial courtyards. Several rooms in the original structure of the hotel feature surviving colonial frescoes unearthed during renovation.
The Arequipa hotel was restored in 2008 to its original grandeur and is just around the corner from the magnificent 16th-century Santa Catalina Convent and only three blocks from Arequipa Plaza de Armas. This is the only 5-star hotel in Arequipa’s historic centre – and is as much living museum as it is hotel. The lengthy restoration unearthed numerous surprises, including original frescoes, reliefs, and even a chapel long hidden from view.
In the Puno area Case Andina Private Collection is ideally located on the banks of Lake Titicaca, with 31 of the 46 rooms having a lake view. The town of Puno is not particularly nice so we prefer the hotels outside, on the Lakes edge. The hotels sun terrace is a popular place for guests to relax & enjoy the stunning view of the lake. For the lake excursions guests leave from the hotels private pier.
Casa Andina also have their classic hotels in several cities/areas, which we can also recommend.
