Sri Lanka has many festivals throughout the year but one of the most important is the Esala Perahera in Kandy a procession through the city accompanied by exotically costumed dancers, drummers and about 80 to 100 elephants during ten glittering nights in July/August.

Cuba has an annual festival to celebrate the anniversary of the Revolution each July. The city of Santiago de Cuba comes alive with music and dancing - it is a great party atmosphere.
