Along the Lower Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, we have the popular region of Tortuguero – which is a stand alone region. The Caribbean coast is very different to Tortuguero as in the towns of Puerto Viejo and Cahuita you will feel like you are actually in the Caribbean! The coastline is a popular spot for surfers but for nature lovers there is the sloth conservation centre as well as the Selva Bananito Lodge which are worth a visit.
